Job summary

Diamond Vogel is seeking a Material Handler to support efficient distribution of products while upholding safety and operational excellence. The role involves picking orders, loading/unloading trailers, and maintaining accurate inventory through the Infolink system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of material handling experience.
• Ability to sit, stand, hear and see continuously.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work where hearing protection is required.
• Exposure to dust and dirt.
• Tolerance of paint odors and fumes.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and print paperwork for pallets.
• Unload/load trailers, verify loads and document damages or mis-shipment claims.
• Must pass forklift certification for all warehouse equipment.
• Complete daily equipment inspections using Infolink system.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Move inventory to correct locations and record moves for inventory control.
• Keep work area clean and perform housekeeping duties.
• Assist with inventory control, year-end and daily cycle counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• Pick customer orders accurately and print the proper paperwork to go with those pallets.
• Unload and load trailers as needed, verify these loads, and document any damage or mis-shipment claims on incoming loads.
• Must pass forklift certification for all warehouse equipment.
• Complete daily equipment inspection before the shift using the Infolink system on our equipment.
• Ensure all safety and company rules are followed; including, but not limited to; wearing proper PPE, lifting procedure, equipment safety, smoking policy, etc.
• Move inventory into correct locations and record these moves in our system to ensure accuracy for inventory control and picking.
• Work area must be cleaned and picked up after every shift. Other housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Help with inventory control, assist with year-end and daily cycle counts when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience you’ll need:

Required:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience with previous material handling experience on various equipment
• Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
• May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
• Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• 1st Shift is Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.
