Job summary

Impactconnects is seeking a Material Handler to manage the workflow of materials between Warehouse, Production, and Mail Entry. The role operates 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, requiring safe forklift operation and accurate handling of inventory.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, pallet scanning, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while following SOPs and company policies. Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Maintain current forklift and rider power jacks license.
• Able to read, understand and follow SOPs and Impact policies.

• Pull/move products to directed warehouse areas and departments.
• Review products for quality and accuracy per SOPs.
• Manage material flow from Warehouse to Production to Mail Entry.
• Move completed pallets to Mail Entry.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks for Mail Entry and Warehouse.
• Use forklift and pallet jacks to move skids to locations.
• Scan pallets into correct locations/destinations.
• Support team to complete jobs accurately and on time.
• Keep warehouse areas clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Material Handler

Title: Material Handler

Job Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt

Department: Warehouse/Material Management

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Hours: 6 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday

General purpose of Job: Manages the workflow of materials between departments; Warehouse, Production, and Mail Entry

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pull/Move products to directed warehouse staging areas, secure locations, and departments.
• Review products for quality and accuracy before distributing by following standard operating procedures
• Managing the material flow throughout the process from Warehouse to Production to Mail Entry
• Move completed pallets to Mail Entry
• Help load and unload trucks for Mail Entry and Warehouse as needed.
• Use forklift and pallet jacks to move skids to their locations/departments
• Scan pallets into correct Locations/Destinations
• Work as a team member to complete jobs accurately and on time.
• Keep warehouse areas clean and organized at all times.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

Performance Measurement:

Performance feedback will take place both verbally and written on a day-to-day as needed basis, recognition in monthly employee recognition meetings, formal training on changes in SOP as needed with a formal review by the supervisor at least annually

Education and/or Experience and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; and one to three months related experience or training.
• Maintain current license for forklift & rider power jacks.
• Able to work independently and maintain production standards.
• Able to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures established by Management
• Able to read, understand and follow Impact Policies regarding attendance/behavior/procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Able to meet deadlines established and exercise good judgment.
• Basic technology skills are required such as using a smart phone, and e-mailing. Additional computer skills are desirable.

Language and Math Skills:

Ability to read, write and speak English at a sufficient level to understand/follow/complete all tasks assigned. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations sufficient to receive, pull, and calculate inventory balances. This shall include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Physical Demands:

Often standing or walking, may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Often lift up to 40 lbs & sometimes up to 70 lbs. Use hands to finger, handle or feel. Reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, & ability to focus.

Work Environment:

Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes & air borne particles, risk of electrical shock, and exposure to toxic chemicals. The noise level is moderate to loud.
