Job summary

The G. A. Richards Group, based in Michigan, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load, unload, and move materials around the plant. You will ensure proper labeling and visibility of inventory and support lean practices that optimize flow.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from receiving to warehouse or work cell.
• Ensure materials are labeled and faced out correctly in locations.
• Rotate and consolidate inventory using LEAN work practices.
• Trash and dispose of incoming skids to proper locations.
• Maintain and monitor all visual re-order and Kanban programs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workplace through ongoing housekeeping.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Summary: Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Transport incoming material from receiving area to warehouse or work cell

Responsible for making sure all material is labeled and facing out in locations

Rotate and consolidate inventory using 'LEAN' work practices

De-trash all incoming skids and disposition to proper locations

Maintain and monitor all visual re-order and Kan ban programs

Constant dedication to housekeeping; pride in a clean and organized workplace

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
