Job summary

Dervati is a Wisconsin-based food experience company and the parent behind PS Seasoning and Pro Smoker. We are seeking a reliable Material Handler for the 1st shift in Iron Ridge, WI, to help keep our production line moving and ensure quality control on every docked item.

You will receive, inspect, and move materials, operate forklifts, and maintain FIFO inventory while following GMP/HACCP safety programs. Hours are 6am to 2pm, with duties that support both production needs and team

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
• Clear verbal communication and keeping team informed.
• Good math skills for counts, weights, and inventory accuracy.
• Flexibility to jump between tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, carry, and climb with up to 60 lbs consistently; forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods.
• Operate a forklift, hand trucks, and skids to move, store, and load materials safely.
• Enter materials and products into our inventory system and maintain FIFO rotation.
• Confirm shipping details and expedite shipments to keep production on schedule.
• Own product quality: nothing leaves the dock damaged.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, personal hygiene, and safety programs.
• Keep the work area clean and dispose of scrap properly.
• Pitch in on other tasks as needed.

Material Handler-1st Shift

Every rub, sauce, and seasoning we make passes through someone’s hands before it reaches a pitmaster, a butcher shop, or a home cook firing up the smoker. In this role, those hands are yours.

We’re looking for a reliable, self-motivated Material Handler who takes pride in getting it right the first time. You’ll keep our production floor running by making sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time, and that finished products leave our dock in perfect shape. If you like staying busy, solving problems on the fly, and seeing the results of your work every day, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods, checking that everything meets specifications and that the paperwork matches.
• Operate a forklift, hand trucks, and skids to move, store, and load materials safely and efficiently.
• Enter materials and products into our inventory system and keep First In, First Out (FIFO) rotation on track.
• Confirm shipping details and special instructions, and expedite shipments that keep production on schedule.
• Own product quality: nothing leaves the dock damaged.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, personal hygiene, and safety programs. Here, we live by Protect What Matters — People safety. Food safety.
• Keep the work area clean and safe by clearing and properly disposing of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping.
• Pitch in on other tasks as needed. No two days look exactly the same.
