Job summary

Apex Tool Group in Apex, NC is seeking a 1st Shift Material Handler for our distribution center. The role operates a forklift to move, load, and unload products within a warehouse environment. Work schedule is A shift Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience operating forklift or pallet jack.
• Experience in distribution or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to move in full range of motion.

Responsibilities

• Use RF scanner to complete transactions within WMS.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to move, stack, and stage product.
• Move pallets to designated areas with forklift or pallet jack.
• Continuously lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties, as required or directed.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Build (Responsibilities)

• Use an RF scanner to complete transactions within Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Operate a forklift or powered pallet jack to pick, move, stack, and stage product and materials.
• Use forklift or powered pallet jack to move pallets to designated areas.
• Continuously lift and move up to 50-lb containers.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties, as required or directed.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack.
• Previous distribution or warehouse experience.
• Ability to consistently lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to consistently move in a full-range of motion.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
