Job summary

The Impact You'll Make

AMaterial Handlerperforms any of the functions associated with shipping, receiving & distribution of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Specific activities includereceiving & inspectingincoming materials andtransportingthese materials to warehousestorage, stockroom, production area or other designated locations. This position alsopicks, packs, and transports goods to staging area for shipment.This position may track and unload incoming material and/or check goods received against purchase order, bill of lading, etc.Material Handlersmay becertified to operate fork trucks or other material handling power equipment to accommodate storage of products throughout the warehouse, stockroom, or facility.

This is a 1st Shift position, working Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate a forklift (required); employee safety records will be considered when selecting candidates for Material Handler positions.
• Operate pushcarts to pick parts from shelving locations and deliver materials to the required production areas; pack parcels and move completed packages to the appropriate skid.
• Regularly use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP systems such as SRP to support daily operations.
• Read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and other work-related documentation.
• Apply mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, percentages, and interpretation of bar graphs; use common sense to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and resolve issues involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
• Demonstrate a strong quality mindset when receiving, evaluating, handling, and delivering materials; continually prioritize customer needs for timely delivery; observe and document work standards, and identify process improvements through lean principles, creative problem-solving, and innovative thinking.

• Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED);or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Forklift experience is required
