Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is hosting a hiring event in Sparks, NV and is actively seeking Material Handlers to join their team. Immediate openings with sign-on bonus and full-time benefits are available across multiple shifts.

Starting pay is $23.12/hour, with a $1.00/hour differential on the 2nd shift, and bi-weekly pay. Applicants must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Stand for extended periods of time, maneuvering around equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds routinely and up to 80 pounds infrequently.
• Follow detailed instructions and record progress.
• Operate material handling equipment, hoists and other equipment.
• Work in a team environment and take ownership over assigned area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Following all safety rules, processes and procedures.
• Receiving and handling raw materials needed for production.
• Loading and unloading trailers, following dock safety procedures.
• Operating robotic palletizers, stretch wrappers, conveyors.
• Maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
