Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler 1 to move metal products and support the Fabrication department in a safety‑conscious, detail‑driven team. You will work with tables, trucks and crates, performing inspections and rotating tasks to keep production progressing.

The role requires basic measurement skills and the ability to read paperwork. OBE offers benefits, PTO/holidays, and a pay-for-performance culture with opportunities for raises and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand paperwork and labels.
• Ability to interpret basic measurements with a tape measure.
• Experience in warehouse or production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

What You'll Get to Do

The Material Handler 1 is focused on moving metal products from tables, facility, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver . A vital member of the Fabrication department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
