Job summary

RRD is seeking a dependable Night Shift Warehouse Associate to support front dock operations in our Minnesota facility. The role runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday, with a $2 per hour shift differential.

Responsibilities include feeding, stocking and moving materials, labeling, boxing, and ensuring accurate tracking on production sheets. Occasional operation of automated equipment and forklifts may be required, with safety as priority.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components.
• Complete forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse layout and item identification codes to place or pull stock and materials.
• Basic skill in using manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks.

• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid.
• Separate signatures by hand per customer specifications.

• Install strapping and padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Attach tags or labels to materials or cases.
• Stack or bundle materials into bundles using banding machine and clincher.
• Occasionally operate automated equipment and/or industrial truck to move materials.

Job Description

• This position is for a 12-hour night shift fixed front (7:00PM to 7:00AM). Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday
• Night shift qualifies for a $2/hr shift differential

Requirements

• Reads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components
• Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure good running in bindery or mailing department
• Separate signatures by hand based on customer specifications
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher
• May occasionally operate automated equipment and/or industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Qualifications

• Able to feed, stock, move, jog, arrange, unload and rotate items on/off bindery and/or finishing equipment in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a bindery operator or supervisor
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials
• Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and familiarity with the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures
• Basic skill in the use of manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.73 to $23.30 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
