Job summary

Lyten in San Jose is seeking a Material Handler I to move materials safely within two Lyten warehouses and maintain accurate inventory in the ERP system. You will receive, store, pick, pack, load, and unload materials, operate hydraulic lifts, pallet jacks, and gantries, and cooperate with labs and shipping while following HazMat safety procedures.

A high school diploma and at least one year in warehousing plus NetSuite ERP experience are expected; strong attention to detail and teamwork are

• At least 1 year ERP experience, preferably NetSuite.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as hydraulic lifts, gantry's and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials per internal SOP.
• Store materials in appropriate warehouse locations and update ERP system.
• Issue indirect consumables to labs daily.
• Pick and pack materials for shipment including Raw Material, Samples, Finished Goods, and RMA shipments.
• Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Operate material handling equipment such as hydraulic lifts, gantries, and pallet jacks.
• Follow all safety procedures including HazMat/Dangerous goods.

Material Handler I

The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within two Lyten warehouses. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records by completing transaction timely. The Material Handler will also be responsible for operating material handling equipment and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials per internal SOP.
• Store materials in appropriate physical warehouse locations and update electronically in ERP system.
• Issue indirect consumables to appropriate labs daily.
Pick and pack materials for shipment to include Raw Material, Samples, Finished Goods, and RMA shipments.
• Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Assist in performing cycle counts and physical inventories
• Operate material handling equipment, such as hydraulic lifts, gantry's, and pallet jacks
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines including those for HazMat/ Dangerous goods.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 1 years of prior experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment
• A minimum of 1 year of ERP experience preferably with NetSuite
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as hydraulic lifts, gantry's and pallet jacks
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel between facilities (San Jose, Fremont, San Leandro) and lift up to 70 pounds

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between $26.00 - $39.00 The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
