SUMMARY
The Material Handler I will support the manufacturing process through movement of materials around the shop floor/yard and preparing for shipment to customers while maintaining all Quality and Safety measures.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using light duty forklift load/unload items onto containers, trucks, or railcars safe and efficiently
- Rigger – using hand signals guide the crane and/or forklift operators
- Ensure load is correctly tied down to prevent damage and load is safe for transport
- Use pneumatic nail gun safely to build dunnage
- Capable of packing orders and confirming counts accurately
- Perform handwritten paper transactions, present to shipping office
- Pull finished goods from inventory locations
- Wear appropriate PPE in required areas
- Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
- Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
- Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS, ABILITY & QUALIFICATIONS
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work overtime and shift work as required to support business operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Employee will be regularly required to sit; use hands tohandle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk or hear.
- Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, and Push, Pull up to 10 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
- Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 10 hours daily.

EDUCATION &TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Complete NCCO Hand Signals and Rigging Course or certification on 25, 40 and 55 ton forklifts
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
- Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
- Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations
