The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, organizing, and managing materials throughout the stockroom using various equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, reliability and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials and products as required.
• Organize and store inventory in designated stockroom locations, using proper storage methods.
• Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging materials.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and audits.
• Follow all safety protocols and stockroom procedures to ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Proficiency operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Basic math and computer skills for inventory and tracking purposes.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet productivity targets.
