Job description

Material Handler - Sportsfield Specialties

Join our team as a Material Handler at Sportsfield Specialties in Delhi, NY. We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual with good analytical skills to work independently and as part of a production team, especially during summer months.

Responsibilities

• Pick, move, and stage raw materials and in-process materials according to job travelers.
• Return unused materials to proper storage locations.
• Collaborate with production scheduling, purchasing, operators, and coordinators for inventory management and troubleshooting.
• Operate lift truck equipment safely and efficiently, including Combi-Lift, fork trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Unload inbound raw materials and transfer trucks as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail with solid organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and quantitative reasoning (math skills).
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various environments.
• Must be certified and maintain certification on all lift trucks, including Combi-Lift.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work flexible hours as needed.

Experience and Education

• Previous lift truck experience required; Combi-Lift experience preferred.
• Understanding of production flow and product knowledge is a plus.
• ERP (Epicor) experience is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly rate at $19.00. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), Flexible Spending, life insurance, and paid time off.
