Skills/Qualifications

  • Operate tow motor in a safe and efficient manner, complying with safety rules and regulations.
  • Unload material from trucks and store material in an orderly manner.
  • Manage the flow of material from preparation to shipment.
  • Prepare material to be shipped.
  • Maintain and operate appropriate equipment to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.
  • Use software to track, check, and route orders.
  • Inventory materials and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, work tables, trucks, or cranes.
  • Prepare paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
  • Execute movement of material from receiving to the yard efficiently and safely.
  • Supply materials to fabrication and stage material for assembly.
  • Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors/maintenance.
  • Operate equipment safely, using safe work habits.
  • Participate in all company training and follow all policies, procedures, and safety rules.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
  • Must frequently lift/move up to 75 pounds, requesting assistance and using equipment as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
