Job summary

PPG is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift in Seattle, WA. The role involves warehouse duties including receiving, storing and distributing materials to ensure quality products reach customers on time.

Starting pay is $27.50 per hour. Work hours are 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday with potential overtime as needed. Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds and operate pallet jacks or forklifts with PPE as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Wear PPE as required; clean-shaven face for men.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools and products.
• Load and unload products from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
• Read schedules and orders to determine items to move.
• Move materials from receiving/production to storage or other areas.
• Sort items on racks or bins by size, type, or code.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift to move loads; may use Hi-Rise.

As a Material Handler you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

• Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
• Loads and unloads of product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operates gas or electric powered pallet jack. forklift truck, delivery carts to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
• May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Experience, at least 1 year, in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
• Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed/required. For men, requires a clean-shaven face.
