Job summary

PPG is hiring a Material Handler for the Seattle, WA area on 1st shift. Starting pay is $27.50 per hour with shift 4:30AM-1:00PM and overtime as needed. This role supports warehouse operations and ensures materials flow to production lines.

Responsibilities include receiving, storing, distributing materials, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and following production schedules. Candidates should lift up to 50 pounds and have 1 year of warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred (1 year).
• Wear PPE as required; for men, a clean-shaven face.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
• Loads and unloads of product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operates gas or electric powered pallet jack. forklift truck, delivery carts to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
• May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Experience, at least 1 year, in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
• Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed/required. For men, requires a clean-shaven face.
