Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Material Handler to manage stock inventories and support warehouse operations on-site in Saugerties, NY. The role emphasizes safe handling, adherence to work orders, and collaboration with the shipping team to ensure efficient packing and material movement.

The position requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training across multiple disciplines supports cross-functional growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse or related work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow daily manufacturing work orders with attention to materials
• Move heavy materials using forklift, pallet, and hand truck
• Unload shipped materials as required
• Pull items from stock according to work orders
• Maintain and ensure all machines are functioning according to safety standards
• Assist shipping with packaging procedures
• Report concerns or discrepancies to management
• Maintain equipment in a clean, safe condition
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Work with direct supervision
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Job description

The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all stock inventories for the warehouse.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Follows daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials.
• Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of a forklift, pallet, and hand truck as required.
• Unloads shipped materials as required.
• Pulls items from stock according to designated work orders.
• Maintains and ensures all machines are functioning according to established work and safety standards.
• Assists shipping area with package procedures as requested.
• Reports any concerns or discrepancies to management.
• Maintains equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Complies with company policies and procedures, while giving special attention to safety regulations.
• Work with direct supervision
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $20 - $24 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location

• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Work well in a team environment
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to follow guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
