Job summary

Edwards Vacuum LLC is seeking a Material Handler to manage stock inventories and support warehouse operations at our Saugerties, NY site. The role involves following work orders, moving materials with a forklift, unloading shipments, and pulling stock per orders.

Emphasis on safety and equipment maintenance, with on-site collaboration across a dynamic team. Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and prior warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist shipping with packaging procedures as needed.
• Report concerns or discrepancies to management.
• Keep equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• Work under direct supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all stock inventories for the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials.
• Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of a forklift, pallet, and hand truck as required.
• Unloads shipped materials as required.
• Pulls items from stock according to designated work orders.
• Maintains and ensures all machines are functioning according to established work and safety standards.
• Assists shipping area with package procedures as requested.
• Reports any concerns or discrepancies to management.
• Maintains equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Complies with company policies and procedures, while giving special attention to safety regulations.
• Work with direct supervision
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $20 - $24 per hour

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
