Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Material Handler to ensure efficient material flow, accurate storage, and timely movement supporting production and distribution. You will leverage warehouse software to locate inventory, lift up to 30 pounds, and operate an electric hoist with on-site training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience.
• 2–3 years of forklift experience.
• PC literate with MS Office and AS400/BPCS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Recognize interruptions to normal material flow and report to team leader.
• Prioritize activities to meet production targets.
• Assist with the implementation of warehouse and management processes.
• Regular lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Electric hoist use required (training on site).
• Daily use of warehouse management system to locate inventory.
• Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your role

As a Material Handler, your mission is to play a crucial role in the efficient flow and management of materials within our operations. Your primary objective is to ensure timely and accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials to support production and distribution needs. Utilize your expertise in logistics and inventory management to maintain optimal levels of inventory while minimizing waste and costs. Through proactive problem-solving and attention to detail, strive to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Embrace a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork to uphold our standards of excellence in material handling.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Recognize interruptions to normal material flow and report to team leader.
• Prioritize activities and take necessary actions to meet production targets.
• Assist with the implementation of warehouse and management processes.
• Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds required with no assistance.
• Electric hoist use required (training will be provided on site)
• Daily use of the warehouse management system for locating inventory efficiently.
• Have a high regard for safety and quality standards and make sure housekeeping standards are met daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
