Job summary

MGS Manufacturing is hiring a Material Handler to support our Germantown or Richfield operations. You will move materials, prep for press start-ups, and oversee flow of components and finished goods on the production floor.

This 12-hour day or night shift offers a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with built-in overtime and a 10% night shift premium. We're seeking dependable, team-oriented individuals with a high school diploma and a willingness to cross-train.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Forklift and LOTO certification required.
• Must be able to follow GMP/GDP practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for press start-ups and move WIP to/from cells.
• Manage material flow in and out of the cleanroom.
• Clean equipment and ensure materials are ready for production.
• Verify move tickets and BOM accuracy.
• Support line clearance and packaging readiness.
• Assist with shift handoffs and communicate press status.

Your Role: Material Handler

MGS has an exciting opportunity forMaterial Handlers to support operations at our Germantown orRichfield facility. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate and timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production floor. This is a 12-Hour Day or Night Shift opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Material Handler at MGS, you will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing and assembly operations. You will prepare materials for press start-ups, move work-in-progress (WIP) to and from automated assembly cells, and manage the flow of materials in and out of the cleanroom. Responsibilities also include cleaning equipment, removing excess or unused materials, and ensuring the correct materials are ready and available for production.

• Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Reviews materials list and prepares materials to ensure materials are ready for press start-ups.
• Ensures packaging and any additional materials are at the press for start-ups and throughout the job.
• Communicates updates to the cell and with previous and following shifts the status of presses.
• Transfers completed pallets and removes garbage and scrap from the cell.
• Participates in Line Clearance process ensuring all packaging and materials put away back in inventory.
• Label all dryers with a Material Identification Tag(s) and verify they match the BOM.
• Clean the dryer, grinders, and conveying equipment completely during changeover activities.
• Perform dryer preventive maintenance.
• Clean all material areas at the end of the shift.
• Counts, weighs, and verifies raw materials.
• Verifies that product being moved has a move ticket.
• Be a backup for the cell as needed, which may include running a press.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

• Our 12-hour rotating shift schedule means you'll work approximately 75 fewer days per year compared to a traditional 5-day workweek — giving you more time off without sacrificing full-time pay.
• 12-hour shifts (6:45pm–7am)
• 2-2-3 rotating schedule = 3 days one week, 4 days the next
• Built-in overtime every other week and more days off
• 10% shift premium for night shift team members
