The ideal candidate will have building materials and forklift experience and be able to work full-time. Duties include receiving and stocking incoming materials, completing delivery work orders, handling customer material requests, loading and unloading materials on trucks, and keeping the yard and warehouse clean.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced lumber and material handler for our location in Hammond, La. An ideal candidate would have Building Materials and FORKLIFT experience (not a forklift-only position). Must be available to work Full-Time Schedule.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive and stock incoming materials
• Complete delivery work orders
• Handle customer material request
• Load and Unload materials on trucks
• Keep yard and warehouse clean and orderly

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail-Oriented and thorough
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used daily
• Ability to interact with customer, coworkers and visitors at the store while remaining professional, polite and courteous
