Job summary

Seal & Design, Inc. in Clarence, NY is seeking a Material Handler to ensure a steady flow of materials to the production floor. You will support inventory accuracy, assist Shipping and Receiving, and maintain ERP records.

Responsibilities include pulling materials for production, checking job cards for discrepancies, returning unused materials, stocking parts, and performing cycle counts. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years warehouse experience and basic math abilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of related warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a computer-based environment with ERP software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and pull materials for scheduled production jobs as directed by Lead Operators.
  • Review job cards prior to material pulls and notify Leads or the Production Planner of any discrepancies.
  • Return unused materials to proper warehouse locations upon job completion.
  • Assist with stocking and organizing manufactured and resale parts and materials.
  • Perform cycle counts of stock and non-stock inventory as assigned.
  • Record stock transfers and inventory transactions accurately within the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness, ensuring materials are stored properly and space is utilized efficiently.
  • Cross-train in Shipping and Receiving functions to provide coverage during high workload periods and vacations
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and in compliance with all company safety and security policies.

Our product line includes gaskets, o-rings, seals, molded products, die-cut foams, and many other specific products for all kinds of sealing applications. We provide superior products to our customers across many industries, including: Automotive, Medical, Military, Aerospace, Electronics, Power Generation, Hydraulics, and HVAC.

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring a consistent and accurate flow of materials to the production floor. This role supports inventory accuracy within the warehouse and provides assistance to the Shipping and Receiving team as needed.

Pay Range: $20-22/hour

Shift: 8:30a - 5:00p

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of related warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a computer-based environment with business or ERP software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workflow, and multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond positively to changing priorities.
