Job summary

BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to ensure uninterrupted production flow by moving materials for production use and recording accurate inventory transactions.

The role operates in a moderate to fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality and timely completion, reporting to the department manager or group line leader. The position follows a schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, supporting operations in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing/stockroom experience or equivalent
• Ability to read work documents and communicate clearly
• ERP experience, preferably Oracle, and cycle counting experience
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of work processes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must use both hands to manipulate items

Job Description

Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that production flow continues uninterrupted by moving materials for production use. Must provide accurate inventory transactions for material that has been placed into storage and/or transferred to the production line. The work is performed in a moderate to fast paced environment, is repetitive in nature, and requires critical adherence to established quality levels while completing within timeframe and workspace allowed for the assigned task. This position reports directly to the department manager or the respective group/line leader for assignments and assistance.

Normal working schedule will be 5AM to 3:30PM Monday - Thursday.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or stockroom environment and/or technical schooling in related areas, &/or any approved equivalent combination of experience, technical training, and/or education.
• Ability to read and understand work documents and to communicate information clearly to coworkers and manager, and to accurately provide the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs.
• ERP experience, preferably Oracle, and cycle counting experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand the work processes.
• Ability to use both hands for manipulating, handling and inspection required items.
• May be required to move, pull, lift, and horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 pounds unaided.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Forklift Certification preferred.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $38,041 - $60,865
