Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following safety policies and reports unsafe conditions.
• Follows procedures to handle damaged material and quarantine material.
• Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to identify materials to move.
• Opens containers to prepare for movement.
• Loads and unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Attaches labels to materials and marks information on containers.
• Loads trucks for transport.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist and assists machine operators with cleanup.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist for loading/moving materials.
• Brings away Gaylord boxes for recycling and moves skids for operators.
• Bans and stores endplates, skids, and recyclable material.
• Empties all trash throughout shop.
• Willing to work in other departments and perform miscellaneous duties.

Job Summary:

To perform tasks necessary for maintaining continuous materials supply at each machine to enable efficient operations without disruption due to lack of materials.

Job Duties:

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
• Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards
• Maintains company’s quality standards and follows computer procedures to handle damaged material and quarantine material
• Reads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
• Opens containers to prepare to be moved
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Loads truck
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Brings and takes away all Gaylord boxes for recycling to machines
• Brings and takes away skids for machine operators jobs
• Bands and stores all endplates, skids, and recyclable material
• Empties all trash throughout shop
• Must be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Must have tow motor experience and be able to successfully complete tow motor certification training
