Job summary

GXO Logistics in Southaven, MS is seeking a motivated Material Handler to move and manage inventory in our warehouse environment. You will operate hand trucks, conveyors, and scanners to support daily shipments and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic logistics network. Previous warehouse experience is helpful, but GXO welcomes all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to read safety instructions and operating procedures.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including possible overtime.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment.
• Pack, scan, kit or count products as needed.
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program and keep a clean work area.
• Work safely to protect yourself and team members.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility


• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment


• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products


• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner


• Adhere to the 7S program


• Maintain a clean environment at all times


• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• To be at least 18 years of age


• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents

It'd be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment


• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed


• Experience using a handheld scanner


• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.


• Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods of time


• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull


• Handle or manage tools or equipment


• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
