Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility. You will use hand trucks, conveyors, and other material handling equipment to keep workflows smooth.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or walking for long periods, and a flexible schedule that may include overtime. A safety-conscious team player helps maintain a clean, productive warehouse.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• Ability to do basic math, with or without calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
• Perform duties including packing, scanning, kitting or counting products.
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program.
• Maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Work safely with the team.

Whatyou’lldo on a typical day:

Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility

Use hand trucks,conveyorsor other material handling equipment

Perform duties that may include packing, scanning,kittingor counting products

Verify orders, labelproductsand use a handheld scanner

Adhere to the 7S program

Maintain a clean environment at all times

Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum,you’llneed:

To be at least 18 years of age

The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatinginstructionsand procedural documents

It’dbe great if you also have:

1 year of experience in a warehouse environment

Availability to work a flexible schedule, includingpossible overtimewhen needed

Experience using a handheld scanner

Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals andobjectives

This job requires the ability to:

Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.

Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods of time

Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull

Handle or manage tools or equipment

Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
