Job Title: MATERIAL HANDLER (includes Loader, Packers, Assemblers, Order Pullers, Machine Operators, Hand Tool Operators, C&C Operators, Glazers, Welders, Cleaners, Inventory Control, Fabricator, Table Workers, Forklift Operators, Material Inspector/QC)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Requirements & Competencies: Performs assembly line tasks to assemble structural parts, such as metal sashes, doors, and windows, using hand tools and power tools. Assembles frame components in jigs or fixtures.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk continuously, and perform physical tasks
• OSHA forklift certification preferred
• Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays preferred
• Mathematical skills: add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10s and 100s
• Must be able to stand for long periods

Responsibilities:

• Assemble hardware such as locks, hinges, catches, and swivels, using various tools
• Lay out reference points for drilling holes
• Load/unload material carts and match drawings to purchase orders
• Prepare finished stock for shipment, including identifying, pulling, packing, and loading
• Operate machinery and tools as required
• Analyze orders and pull appropriate products
• Perform quality control checks
• Organize and stage projects
• Follow safety regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
