Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is hiring a Material Handler for the Day Shift in Aiken, South Carolina. Responsible for preparing and supplying materials to assembly lines per MTU America Material Flow Strategy, moving materials between storage locations, and handling shipping/receiving duties.

The role requires at least 3 years of material handling/warehousing experience; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring parts and components are prepared and supply materials to the appropriate assembly lines in accordance with the MTU America Material Flow Strategy.

What you will be doing?

• Prepare and supply material to assembly lines in accordance with the MTU America Material Flow Strategy
• Move material between material storage locations, including shipping & receiving docks
• Read and interpret standard work instructions and build documents
• Inspect and maintain equipment logs as required
• Perform all aspects of shipping & receiving of material & finished goods including production material, non-production material and completed engines.

Basic Requirements

• 3 years of experience in material handling and/or warehousing.

Preferred Requirements

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, quality control, and costs
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other employees.

Mental & Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand; sit, use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, parts, or controls reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to balance and climb; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee may also be exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Pay Range

Pay ranges for remote employees are based on the state where the employee resides and may vary from the posted range.

$21.97 - $32.95-Hourly Location: Graniteville, SC
