This position is responsible for maintaining inventory controls for surgical and interventional supplies and materials. Works with Supply Chain (MSC) Supervisor, Specialty Charge RNs, and clinicians to manage, adjust, and implement supply par and bin location changes for new and existing supplies. Coordinates materials activities to meet the ongoing needs of clinicians in a procedural/interventional area. Analyzes supply trends and workflows to facilitate product changes to meet changes in demand. Facilitates cost containment efforts, product standardization, inventory control practices, space utilization, and data management. Works with Supply Chain (MSC) Supervisor to implement and evaluate new products approved through the Value Analysis process.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of Inventory control, materials management in a computerized environment
  • Experience in computers and computer related functions including experience in materials management inventory software programs and handheld devices
  • Experience in materials management concepts and operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in business administration. Or
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferably in business administration or equivalent educ/experience
  • In lieu of a college degree, an equivalent of 2 years of college courses including classes on inventory management, logistics, and supervisory development may be substituted
  • Successful completion of an education training course for Supply Chain Management or another course of similar subject content
