Job description

Wastequip has a great opportunity at their Salisbury, NC facility for a Material Handler. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits, including but not limited to health insurance, a 401K plan, paid vacation/sick time, and more. The Material Handler is responsible for handling and delivering raw materials and parts to other departments and maintaining organization in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and stock incoming raw materials.
• Supply production with materials and parts as required to meet demands.
• Transfer finished goods to holding and/or loading areas.
• Perform safety inspections and routine maintenance to ensure tools remain safe and operational.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear required PPE at all times.
• Ensure the workplace is maintained in compliance with 5S standards.
• Collaborate with shipping and receiving specialists and perform similar tasks.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior experience operating a forklift in a production environment.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Proficiency in operating a laptop and Microsoft Office products.
• Attention to detail and carefulness.
• Ability to maintain organization of products/materials on racks, production floor, and staging areas.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic math operations.
• Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.
• Ability to keep a clean work area.
• ERP experience is a plus.
