Job summary

Altec is seeking a Material Handler for 2nd and 3rd shift. The role involves receiving and delivering parts to stocking and production areas, with opportunities for growth and training.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and the ability to read technical documents. Proficiency in bar-coding and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand technical documents (engineering drawings).
• Computer skills including bar-coding.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and timely workmanship on each job performed.
• Follow all safety and quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support APS initiatives – Lean Manufacturing.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Use Oracle database / Altec Navigator.

Competitive Starting Wage with Shift Differential (2 nd and 3 rd shift)

The Material Handler receives and delivers parts and materials to stocking areas, production areas, and other departments. These positions could be for the 2 nd or 3 rd shift.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Material Handling/Forklift experience
• Computer skills including bar-coding; ability to read and understand technical documents - i.e., engineering drawings
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift
• CDL desirable
• Technical/Vocational Training preferred
