Job summary

Altec is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Fort Wayne, Indiana to receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas. You will also pick/pack/ship products to other departments and customers, with starting pay of $21.53/hr.

Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30 with potential overtime depending on workload. Qualifications include a High School or GED, material handling experience, forklift/picker experience, and ability to read technical documents.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Material Handling experience preferred.
• Forklift / Picker experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience recommended.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents – e.g. engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• To provide quality and timely work on each job performed.
• Follow all established safety & quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support APS initiatives – Lean Manufacturing.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Computer program usage – Ability to learn Oracle data base / Altec Navigator

Starting Pay is $21.53/hr

Hours - M-F 8-4:30 (with workload dependent potential for overtime)

Basic Qualifications

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

High School or GED is required

Preferred (please make sure related experience is on the resume or application)

• Material Handling experience
• Forklift / Picker experience
• Warehouse experience
• Computer skills, with bar-coding a plus
• Ability to read and understand technical documents – i.e. engineering drawings
