Job Responsibilities
- Perform forklift inspections prior to use. Report any repairs needed to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Stock Printer, Tuber, and Bottomers with all raw materials required for production according to the published schedule. All small (butt) rolls and aged material to be stocked at machines first.
- Return unused small (butt) rolls to warehouse stock. Minimum twice weekly.
- Move all materials used by the slitter. Daily as required.
- Obtain weight and tags for narrow reels not being used at the Bottomers and return to the warehouse. Minimum once a week.
- Unload and receive shipment of all materials in the warehouse or ink department.
- Consume preprint patches according to schedule. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Load all outgoing shipments from the materials warehouse, including scrap containers, empty ink drums, empty totes, and Coating Excellence.
- Perform monthly inventories of paper, poly, narrow reels, Polylok, and preprint.
- Overtime or weekend work may be required as needed and will be communicated by management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, such as training new hires, assisting in shipping, emptying garbage, sweeping floors before shifts, and other tasks within the scope of the business.
Your Profile
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1-5 years of material handling experience preferred.
- 1-5 years of clamp/stand-up reach forklift experience required.
- Work schedules are typically 8-10 hours.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
- High level of composure and good stress management skills.
