Job Summary Details:

The Tugger Operator is responsible for towing and emptying trash and cardboard carts as they fill during the shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of similar work experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial lift and/or tugger to assist in loading or moving materials for yardage
• Bale cardboard, run a trash compactor, and operate a tow tractor to maintain smooth production
• Use a computer, read work orders, or follow oral instructions to identify materials or containers to be moved
• Load materials and/or buggies into trailers and trucks
• Install strapping or chains to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Print necessary labels and manifests
• Transport buggies from work sites to designated areas
• Load and unload full or empty buggies
• Use the computer to maintain a current list of available buggies
• Perform janitorial duties such as emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and scrubbing floors
