We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for handling all printed pharmaceutical materials, including loading and unloading trucks, operating a forklift, and transporting materials between manufacturing facilities.
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks.
- Handle, wrap, and secure pallets of raw materials and finished goods.
- Transport materials between manufacturing facilities using a company vehicle.
- Ensure all materials are wrapped, labeled, and handled with care in compliance with company standards.
- Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of transported materials.
- Perform basic vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Ensure timely delivery of all materials while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
