Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN is hiring a Material Handler in Richmond, VA. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a contract-to-hire path and pay of $18/hour. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and reliable attendance.

You'll perform shipping/receiving, inventory, and general warehouse tasks; receive, inspect, count, and store goods; pull/pack/ship orders with scanners; operate forklifts; and keep records up to date. A high school diploma or GED is required, with forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience using computers and handheld barcode scanners.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse duties to support daily operations.
• Receive, unpack, inspect, count, and store incoming products accurately.
• Pull, verify, pack, and ship customer orders using scanners and shipping systems.
• Complete cycle counts and assist with inventory audits, transfers, and discrepancy resolution.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and carrier scheduling.
• Maintain accurate system transactions and inventory records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
