Job summary

Diamond is seeking a Material Handler to stage materials at production lines, boosting efficiencies and reducing downtime. The 2nd shift runs Monday-Thursday, 1:45pm-11:45pm, and collaborates closely with Production and Shipping to meet internal customer needs.

The role emphasizes safe operation of pallet jacks and forklifts, attention to detail, and timely communication to Inventory Control. A high school diploma and 2 years in warehousing are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and forklift.
  • Reading and following work instructions, SOPs, and training documents.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Move stock to production lines to ensure continuous run of the machines.
  • Notify Inventory Control Specialist when stock is running low.
  • Move incoming materials to proper storage location.
  • Receive finished product from production and assist with staging for shipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves; verify quantity and labels.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Attach identifying labels or tags to materials for inventory, shipment and work in production.
  • Decide how overs are being handled.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Operate the company delivery truck; conduct inspections of vehicle before departure
  • Complete logs and report; follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the needs of internal customers are met. This position will stage materials at production lines to increase production efficiencies and reduce machine downtime. Requirements
