Job summary

Latham, The Pool Company is hiring a Material Handler in Plainfield, IN. You will be responsible for pulling orders, delivering materials to production, staging finished goods, and preparing items for shipment.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience/tests, and the ability to lift heavy items.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory by labeling and locating materials.
• Pull and verify materials per production orders; stage finished products.
• Prepare shipments by packing, crating, loading and recording units.
• Record materials disposition and inventory locations; ensure accuracy of stock.
• Perform pre-use inspections on material-handling equipment and conduct minor repairs.

A little about the position:

Job Summary

Primary Role

A material handler maintains production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished products.

Some of What You Will Do:

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
• Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to schedule, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
• Must be able to pass Forklift test
• Must have at least 2 years of Forklift Experience
• Good organization skills
• Ability to analyze situations and information and reach an effective outcome.
• Knowledge of practicing safe workplace practices
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Current forklift license or the ability to operate a forklift and obtain a license promptly.
• Current role-relevant safety, quality, equipment, or trainer certification.

Physical Requirements

12. Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds at times.

13. Ability to safely navigate the facility and work around machinery by climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, lifting, and carrying materials.

14. Ability to stand for eight to ten hours per shift when needed.

15. Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
