Job summary

Boise Cascade is hiring a Material Handler [Forklift Operator] in Phoenix to receive, load, and move building materials across a high-traffic warehouse. The role requires safely operating a forklift, verifying order accuracy, and collaborating with teammates to fulfill daily production goals.

Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, observe OSHA safety rules, and maintain clean work areas while assisting with occasional customer service tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
  • Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions.
  • Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw.
  • Forklift experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with building materials (preferred)
  • Able to measure and calculate material lengths (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, select, and load materials
  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently
  • Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading
  • Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers
  • Work with other team members to fulfill orders and daily tasks
  • Maintain a clean working area

Material Handler [Forklift Operator]
Responsibilities
  • Receive, select, and load materials
  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently
  • Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading
