Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, inspect, and stage door components and finished products. You will maintain inventory accuracy in computer systems and support pre-finish line operations in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork as you handle materials, load trucks, and keep work areas organized in a multi-shift environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area
  • Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials
  • Assist assigning production areas when not moving materials
  • Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations
  • Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities
  • Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials
  • Clean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be painted
  • Service the pre-finish line with needed material components (loading paint carts with frame parts and door’s)
  • Assist pre-finish line area with removal of completed product to go to build prep and or stretch-wrap machine
  • Stage completed and stretch wrapped door products into shipping staging lanes by loads
  • Load trucks with finished door products per direction of Production Manager
  • Responsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description
