Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler to support our warehouse and production areas in a fast-paced environment. Multiple shifts are available to cover day and evening operations.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and storing materials, maintaining inventory accuracy in the system, and assisting with pre-finish and shipping tasks. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within SBP’s values-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Receive, audit, inspect, ID and store incoming material to proper locations.
• Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping.
• Update inventories by moving materials in the computer system.
• Assist assigning production areas when not moving materials.
• Ensure materials meet quality expectations.
• Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities.
• Assist with removing empty pallets, trash, and recycling materials.
• Clean parts with sandpaper, acetone, or air hose to prep for painting.
• Supply pre-finish line with needed material components.
• Assist with removing completed product to build prep or stretch-wrap.
• Stage completed doors into shipping lanes; load trucks with finished doors.
• Adhere to forklift, safety, and quality guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization.

Multiple shifts available!

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations
• Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area
• Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials
• Assists assigning production areas when not moving materials
• Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations
• Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities
• Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials
• Clean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be painted
• Service the pre-finish line with needed material components (loading paint carts with frame parts and door’s)
• Assist pre-finish line area with removal of completed product to go to build prep and or stretch-wrap machine
• Stage completed and stretch wrapped door products into shipping staging lanes by loads
• Load trucks with finished door products per direction of Production Manager
• Responsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
