Job Title: Material Handler

Shift: Mondays-Thursdays 6:00am-4:30pm

Location: Farr West, UT

Job Summary

This position handles all aspects of material handling, shipping, receiving, stocking, and yard maintenance. Ensures timely delivery of materials to fabrication, machining, or assembly areas, proper inspection of received materials, and operation of various lift trucks and overhead cranes.

Essential Functions

• Deliver materials from stock or remnants to respective areas.
• Transport fabricated, machined, blasted, and painted parts to designated areas.
• Load and unload parts and materials for customers and vendors.
• Receive, inventory, and inspect all incoming materials, and stock them appropriately.

Yard Maintenance and Care

• Maintain proper placement and care of all materials.
• Manage scrap bins, racks, zones, and inventory documentation.
• Inspect and care for equipment, ensuring a safe environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to develop strong relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Operate various equipment, including forklifts, manlifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work effectively in all weather conditions, independently, and maintain regular attendance.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of material grades and types.

Minimum Requirements

• One year of experience in material handling.
• Current operator’s certification on powered industrial trucks.
• Valid driver’s license.
