Job summary

Our Next Energy Inc. (ONE) is seeking a Material Handler in Novi, MI to receive, stock and ship parts, using forklifts and pallet jacks. You will perform inventory checks, stage materials for production, and ensure accurate documentation for shipments.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification or able to complete in-house certification
• General knowledge shipping Hazmat material

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments, check in and stock merchandise, post orders into inventory system.
• Pull, package, and ship parts orders accurately and timely.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and handheld devices.
• Perform inventory control: organize warehouse, maintain bin locations, cycle counts, physical inventory.
• Maintain vendor packing slips, receiving and shipping documents.
• Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, visitors, and customers; assist with inventory management.
• Move materials between receiving, warehouse and production areas using appropriate equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and containers safely.
• Stage materials for production pulls and replenish line supply as needed.

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receiving shipments, checking in and stocking merchandise, posting orders into our inventory computer system
• Accurately and timely pulls, packages, and ships parts orders
• Material handling including the use of a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and handheld shipping supplies and tools
• Perform inventory control includes warehouse organization, bin location maintenance, cycle counting, physical inventory
• Maintain accurate files of, vendor packing slips, receiving documents and shipping documents
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff, vendors, visitors, and customers; Assist with and maintains inventory management (receiving, warehousing, shipment, ordering, monitoring backorders)
• Perform any additional duties as assigned
• Move raw materials, components, and finished product between receiving, warehouse, and production areas using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and other material handling equipment
• Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently
• Stage materials for production pull and replenish production line supply as needed
• Maintain accurate bin and rack locations and follow proper put-away procedures
• Inspect material handling equipment before use and report defects or safety concerns
• Prepare, package, and label outbound shipments in accordance with carrier and company requirements
• Stage and load outbound shipments for carrier pickup
• Generate and maintain shipping documents (bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels) in the shipping system
• Verify quantities and accuracy of outbound orders prior to shipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience
