Job description

Phillips-Medisize in Clinton, Massachusetts is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to support the production floor in the preparation of raw materials, packaging, component parts, work orders, and labels. The Material Handler will create value by keeping production running smoothly to prevent loss due to downtime and maintain accurate inventory control.

Our Team

Phillips-Medisize is a Medical Device manufacturer. Our Clinton, MA facility operates up to 20 injection molding machines simultaneously. Successful candidates should have a strong understanding of plastic injection molding and the ability to manage from setup to changeover.

What You Will Do

1. Review production schedule to stage upcoming jobs.
2. Properly store and handle materials going in and out of the staging area.
3. Determine drying needs based on material type and production schedule.
4. Properly identify tags on dryers and hopper locations with clear and accurate information.
5. Empty and clean hoppers at the end of a run, return unused material to the warehouse.
6. Weigh all unused material and components, label with new quantities, and return to the warehouse.
7. Clean auxiliary equipment such as grinders, hoses, filters, loaders, and containers.
8. Assemble and distribute packaging, supplies, and components to work stations and molding presses.
9. Remove full boxes of product from molding/secondary areas and deliver to the appropriate destination.
10. Empty production floor garbage and prepare recyclables at the end of the shift.
11. Maintain communication with Team Leaders and Technicians to meet production schedules.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or agriculture environments.
• Experience with scanners and warehouse inventory systems (SAP).
