Job summary

Paris Corporation in Sparks, NV is seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our Distribution team. This full-time, safety-sensitive role focuses on receiving, storing, moving, and shipping inventory with accuracy.

You will operate sit-down forklifts, enter receipts into the WMS, coordinate inbound deliveries, pick/pack orders, perform cycle counts, and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment. Prior forklift experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
  • Prior sit-down forklift experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail with speed and accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency with WMS, RF scanners, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, receive, and ship products safely and efficiently.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Receive inbound shipments and enter receipts into the warehouse management system.
  • Coordinate and schedule inbound deliveries for cartons, pallets, and other warehouse materials.
  • Pick, pack, wrap, label, and stage customer orders for shipment.
  • Load outbound trucks while ensuring shipments are accurate, secure, and damage-free.
  • Process and release customer orders within the warehouse management system following carrier pickup.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Interact professionally with truck drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Complete daily forklift and equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with other warehouse and distribution duties as assigned.
