Ryder System, Inc. in Nashville, TN is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator. You will perform loading, picking, packing and shipping tasks, operate forklifts, and count cycles in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical aptitude including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and entering orders into a WMS.

• Must be able to work indoors and outside.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy per contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Handle picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Process day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during production shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Pay: $18.71/hour
• Schedule: First Shift
• Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
