Job summary

Ryder in Jackson, Tennessee is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support safe, efficient distribution with weekly pay and competitive benefits.

You will operate electric sit-down forklifts and RF scanners, perform loading, picking, packing, shipping and cycle counting on a 5:30pm–6:00am rotating 2-2-3 schedule, and contribute to a team-first, safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license/certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and forklift operation.
• Audit and manage paperwork such as picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Support maintenance of automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform cycle counting and loading/unloading trucks.
• Adhere to safety procedures and quality standards.

• Hourly Pay $17.25 per hour
• Additional $1.00 per hour shift pay
• Schedule: 5:30pm - 6:00am Rotating 2-2-3 schedule

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
