Job summary

Paris Corporation is seeking a 1st Shift Material Handler in New Jersey. The role focuses on loading/unloading, receiving and stocking, and preparing pallets for shipment while maintaining inventory accuracy.

This safety-sensitive position emphasizes forklift operation, cycle counts, and efficient material flow within a manufacturing setting. You'll work 8:30am–4:30pm with a 10% performance bonus paid quarterly, opportunities to collaborate across the warehouse, and a supporting team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills: WMS, MS Office, RF Guns, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and receipts with trucks and pallets.
  • Verify items and lot numbers upon reception and stock materials.
  • Prepare customer shipment by pulling, packing, and securing products.
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize forklift and equipment safely and conduct pre-use inspections.
  • Interact with drivers and follow safety regulations.

Job description

1st Shift Material Handler 8:30am-4:30pm

Eligible for a 10% performance bonus opportunity paid quarterly

Description

The Material Handler maintains production and distribution and is responsible for freight loading, unloading, stocking, and preparation of pallets of product to be shipped. Additionally, Materials Handlers are integral components of inventory accuracy through cycle counting and other initiatives. This is a safety-sensitive position.

What you’ll do
  • Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving of warehouse items
  • Transporting materials to different locations within the facility. Schedule inbound delivery trucks for cartons and pallets receipts, as well as bales.
  • Receives products from outside vendors into the system.
  • Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code, lot number, and quantity, and placing materials in stock.
  • Prepares customer shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, wrapping, loading, and securing products.
  • Release orders from the computer system after carrier pick-up
  • Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
  • Labeling orders/repairing damaged cartons.
  • Inventory cycle counts.
  • Keep inventory and the warehouse clean.
  • Interact with drivers daily.
  • Follow safety/company regulations for forklift/equipment. Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and conducting operator maintenance.
  • Identify issues (overruns, incorrect item numbers at the location, scheduling conflicts, etc.) and report them to the supervisor.
  • Facilitate year-end paper audit.
  • Back up the Pick and Pack department and the Receiving department as needed.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
Your Background
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is required. (Clamp truck experience a plus, but will train)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on deadlines
  • Strong computer skills: WMS, MS Office, RF Guns, etc.
  • Familiarity with standard practices in the Shipping/Receiving environment is necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to balance speed with accuracy.
  • Always on time and great attendance record
