Job summary

Altec is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Mount Airy, NC to receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas and ship to other departments and customers. The role involves picking, packing, and shipping product, following safety and quality policies, and learning the Oracle/Altec Navigator systems.

Starting pay is $21.53 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift/Picker experience preferred.
• Computer skills, with bar-coding a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas.
• Pick/pack/ship product to other departments, divisions, and customers.
• Follow established safety and quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Use Oracle database / Altec Navigator.

Job Description

The primary duty is to receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas. Pick/ pack/ ship product to other departments, other divisions, and customers.

Starting Pay $21.53/hr

Basic Qualifications

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

• High School or GED is required

Preferred (please make sure related experience is on the resume or application)

• Material Handling experience
• Forklift / Picker experience
• Warehouse experience
• Computer skills, with bar-coding a plus
• Ability to read and understand technical documents – i.e. engineering drawings
