Job summary

Xylem, a Fortune 500 global water solutions company, seeks a Material Handler I in Morrisville, NC to keep production moving by managing inventory, issuing materials, and supporting assembly lines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role offers a Monday–Friday 7 AM–4 PM schedule with pay of $20–$21 per hour, overtime opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. Forklift experience and ERP familiarity are preferred assets for success.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of material handling, warehouse, or related experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to complete inventory and system transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Issue materials to production teams to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Create and stage production kits for assembly lines.
  • Ensure materials are identified, organized, and stored; follow FIFO.
  • Receive, unload, inspect inbound shipments; load outbound shipments.
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Assist with Purchase Order receiving and inventory documentation.
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with 3PLs; support scheduling.
  • Support production teams during peak demand.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within warehouse operations.
